FAQ

Where does the trip start and end?

At Kangra Airport (Gaggal), about 15 km from our hotels, or at Pathankot railway station, about 85 km away. We pick you up and drop you back.

Where will we stay?

Three nights at Buddha House, our hotel near Norbulingka in Sidhpur, with simple rooms, a restaurant, a reading lounge and Dhauladhar views.

Can we do this trip in the monsoon?

Yes, it runs all year. From mid-June to mid-September the rain is very heavy, so we swap the Triund day for a culture day if the trail isn’t safe.

Is the Triund day hard?

Triund is about 9 km each way from McLeod Ganj to a ridge at around 2,875 m. Most reasonably fit walkers manage it with our local guide, and you can stay the night in a camp on the ridge.
